You might remember that a few weeks ago, I asked you to give me some feedback by filling out a short survey. Many of my subscribers — possibly even you? — responded to that request. If you were one of the respondents, THANKS!
After looking at all of the responses, one thing became ABUNDANTLY clear…
For most of my subscribers, they weren’t having trouble setting up a website.
They weren’t having difficult with what I expected to be the biggest issue — generating traffic to their website.
So, what was their biggest obstacle to getting the results they wanted in their business?
The #1 road block from that survey was CONVERSIONS!
It was SO not what I expected the answer to be! I thought that perhaps most were struggling with how to get traffic, or perhaps how to create an info product, or maybe even how to build a list.
But CONVERSIONS was just not what I expected at all!
Are you one of the people who is getting traffic but finding that you’re not getting any conversions?
Here’s the thing…
It is SOOOOO easy to improve CONVERSIONS once you understand what causes conversions to happen in the first place!
So, let start with the basics…
What do I mean by a “conversion”?
Well, ask yourself these questions…
1. How much traffic are you getting to your website each day?
2. How many subscribers are you adding to your list each day?
3. How many sales are you getting each day?
Once you’ve looked at these 3 numbers, you’ll need to do some math…
a. Take the total number of subscribers in #2 and divide it by the total number of visitors in #1. This is your “Conversion to Subscriber” rate.
b. Take the total number of sa’es in #3 and divide it by the total number of visitors in #1. This is your “Conversion to Sales” rate.
Your goal should be getting at least 10% of the total visitors to your site to opt into your list each day. If you’re averaging 100 visitors per day, that means you should be adding at LEAST 10 new subscribers to your list each day.
Your second goal is a little tougher to explain…
You should be getting at least 25% of your total website visitors to visit your sales page (either your affiliate link or your own product’s sales page). So, if you’re averaging 100 visitors per day, that means you should be getting 25 people to your sales page.
Of the people getting to your sales page or affiliate link, you should be converting at LEAST 5% of them to customers!
So, if you are averaging 25 visitors to your sales page, that should mean that you’re averaging between 1 and 2 sales per day for every 100 visitors to your site.
Are your numbers lower than these goals?
If so, let me share a little secret with you…
It is NOT the copy on your opt in page or the copy on your sales page that is keeping you from reaching these goals!
More than likely, the reason your conversions are too low is that you don’t have enough “engagement” from your site’s visitors.
What is “engagement”?
Well, it’s measured by things like how many pages each visitor visits. How much time a visitor stays on your site. In other words, how “engaged” are the people reading your website?
It takes an average of 4 to 5 page views per visitor and an average of 3 to 5 minutes on the site in order to get a “conversion” to happen.
If you’re like most internet marketers, you’re probably getting just 1 to 2 page views per visitor and around 1 minute or less on your site. Am I right?
If you’re really getting this, you’re next question is probably: “What do you need to do to get high enough levels of engagement to get conversions (and s’les) to happen?”

Getting conversions — whether to opt in subscribers or to sales of your own products or affiliate products — is as simple as having a proven SYSTEM that causes conversions to happen!

Expecting 100% of your visitors to turn into customers probably isn’t very realistic. But it is REALLY possible to get at least 1 or 2 out of every 100 visitors to turn into customers — instead of the industry average which is just 1 out of 1,000 visitors becoming a customer!
